After months of beta testing, the PlayStation 5 has officially received an update that brings a number of improvements and features.
PS5 console users thus have the ability to create folder-like playlists, there are improved social functions and more. However, the best feature is definitely the support for 1440p resolution.
The full list of changes includes:
HDMI 1440p video output support;
Within the Games Library it is possible to create lists of games, with easy organization;
It is possible to request Share Screen from teammates;
It is now possible to easily view a new player’s profile;
Receive notifications that help you join your friend’s game quickly from a shared chat;
You can compare 3D sound and stereo sound on the same screen;
Easy access to ongoing activities from game centers.
Anytime you’re on PlayStation, you can say “Hey PlayStation, find [key] on YouTube” and the YouTube app will open and display the relevant search results.
Sony has also added a number of updates and improvements to the companion PS app for phones.
This includes starting a PS Remote Play session from the PS app on Android and iOS devices, as well as requesting a Share Screen session from a friend.
